On December 7th, 2014 we transformed our back patio into a winter wonderland for our baby gender reveal party. About 30 of our friends and family came and made their gender guesses by hanging a blue or pink ornament on a Christmas tree. We ate yummy hor’douves and set up a delicious hot cocoa bar. We hung twinkle lights and snowflakes. We even had 10 gallons of fake snow all around the patio. For the reveal moment we had in one bag fake snow with blue confetti mixed in and in the other bag pink confetti mixed in. We handed a small folded up post-it note to our friend Marieka. She opened it, saw the word “Girl” written on it and grabbed the pink bag. With all eyes and cameras on us (including a few other loved ones on FaceTime who couldn’t be there) she poured the “snow” with the pink confetti all over us. We were overjoyed! Everyone cheered and we popped the bubbly for a toast to our baby GIRL!
