This majestic piece of steel art is the landmark of a place of romance, history and culture. It is the icon of Paris. Looking upon the tower for the first time on the day we arrived in Paris meant I was living a dream. I was finally in the “city of lights” and I could hardly believe I was gazing up at the eiffel tower with my own eyes. It stood larger and more beautiful than I had imagined. I loved wandering through the city streets, coming around a corner, looking up and seeing the paramount structure from another angle and in a different light each time. Every photo I captured never seemed to be enough.
