Growing up performing in youth theater, it was always a dream of mine to someday go to New York and see the best of the best on Broadway. I have been to New York 3 times now and each time had the privilege of seeing that dream come true. The energy in the city and the excitement of the audience as they give a standing ovation to a company of performers that have brilliantly immersed themselves to express a story is, to me, truly amazing.

On my last trip to New York I was delighted to experience the new show Matilda The Musical. Adapted from 
Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book “Matilda”, this is a must see.  The playwright was written by Dennis Kelly and the phenomenal music and lyrics by Tim Minchin. With a cast of predominately children, this show oozes talent. The writing is witty and humorous and the characters are very well defined.  If you ever have the opportunity to see this show whether it be in New York, London, or somewhere on the US national tour that is currently in the works, please do yourself a favor and get tickets. You won’t be disappointed!
